LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The second stop on our ‘Hometown Fridays’ tour takes us to Leonardtown in St. Mary's County.
Leonardtown is about 55 miles southeast of the white house.
Back in the early 1700’s it was called Seymour town, in honor of Governor John Seymour.
But that only lasted 20 years until Benedict Leonard Calvert became governor.
Today, the town is undergoing a renaissance!
We have discovered a ton of fun things to do in town...from historic sightseeing to water sports to winery tours!
